Legislation
To enable us to undertake our duties in line with statutory
legislation, we work closely with the Police, Fire & Rescue
Service, Ambulance, Health Service, Environment Agency,
Maritime/Coastguard Agency and Voluntary Organisations to ensure
procedures are in place and tested if the unthinkable happens.
Below are the four specific statutory regulations that describe
the duties we have to adhere to.:
- Civil
Contingencies Act 2004
-
The Control of Major Accident Hazard Regulations 2015
(COMAH)
- The
Pipeline Safety Regulations 1996
- Radiation
(Emergency Preparedness & Public Information) Regulations 2001
(REPPIR)
