Fire Strike
As part of their ongoing dispute the Fire Brigades Union have
announced their intentions to hold strike action on Wednesday
13th November 2013 between 10:00am and 2:00pm.
Mid and West Wales Fire and Rescue Service
together with partner agencies, including the Joint Resilience
Unit, have liaised together to ensure that there is minimal
disruption on the strike day. Whilst there may be delays in
response times the message from the Fire Service is very much one
of ‘business as usual’.
The message from the JRU is be vigilant and
wherever possible minimise activities to reduce the risk of fire
and other emergency situations from arising. This would assist
MWWFRS to ensure that the most serious and or genuine emergency
incidents can be prioritised and dealt with.
